So much going on! Where to start! My son-in-law attempted suicide two months ago. He abruptly quit his job in January telling my daughter he was having suicidal thoughts. She got him to the doctor but had to immediately get her house up for sale. She sold most of their furniture and put everything else in storage. He and my daughter have been separated since January. The house sold and she moved in with a co-teacher in order to finish the school year. Her husband went to their lake house and that is where he attempted to take his life. Fortunately, a friend found him in time. (He used carbon monoxide)
When he was released from the hospital he came here to my house and has been here ever since. He's in therapy and has found a job and seems to be doing better. He is on the right track anyway. I don't think the marriage is going to survive. My daughter has found a house to rent and will move in July 1st but she doesn't want her husband to join her. They have had problems for years and she had begged him to see a therapist. She is very angry and doesn't trust him right now. He is going to get an apartment the first of August after he has started his new job.
Ron and I are doing fine! My next knee surgery is scheduled for October 26th. I'm as ready as I'll ever be I suppose. My left knee is rehabbing along and just gets better with time. I've lost 40 pounds since January 12th. I lost the 30 pounds I gained during covid and an additional 10. I'm not really trying to lose anymore but I wouldn't be sad if I lost another 10. I'd be at 125 and would have room to fluctuate. I know the weight loss will help my recovery from knee surgery and it should be easier next go around!

What a horrible situation for you and your daughter. I am so sorry. I hope he stays on the right path and your daughter decides to do what is best for her.
Wow. Just Wow.
When your kids are adults their problems get bigger. I don't really know what to do other than be supportive of their decisions. It was easier when all I had to do was kiss a boo boo or give a hug!
