I consider myself a reasonably intelligent person. I went to college and I studied hard. But no where in my educational process did I ever learn enough to understand Medicare. Now I have the part A figured out and the part B. I've decided on the right supplemental plan but then we got in to the part D. Oh my goodness what a maze. Between the formularies and the donut hole I was confused as heck. If I had known how much there was to learn about getting old I'd have made other arrangements. ha Oh, and have you tried to talk to someone in the flesh at Social Security? I waited on the phone for over an hour. I tried online but couldn't get the answers I needed. We are going to our local SS office next Tuesday and I guess we will just wait for as long as it takes.
It sure makes me feel bad for those seniors who are totally dependent on Social Security. That little ole check just doesn't stretch very far and I don't see any change on the horizon as long as Congress doesn't have to participate in the system. Not much incentive on their part to change it.

A home invasion like that one is just terrifying! Did the woman survive? Even in the daytime I keep my doors locked but I know from my ex husband being a police officer that if a criminal wants in he will usually find a way. You be careful! And yes, trying to figure out medicare is not for sissies!!! I wish it was like this.... Go to the dr, get treatment and meds and medicare will pay!
So true about the Medicare sign up. And wait til you start getting the summaries they send after a doctor's visit.
As far as Part D goes, Walgreens pharmacists will help you choose an insurance carrier. Maybe Walmart pharmacy has people who can help, too. Those summaries from Medicare are a chore, too. That's where blind faith comes in. lol
