Today was one of those one step back days! I didn't sleep well last night. Got sick to my stomach and I haven't been able to eat. I need to eat or the pain meds really make me sick. I walked down the street and went further than yesterday but felt sick as a dog!
My co-worker and friend Linda came by to see me after work! They told me I kept asking for Ron in the recovery room and kept crying about Linda. Linda and I have both been using a cane to walk but I was evidently upset that I was going to be able to give mine up but Linda has multiple sclerosis and it is progressive. Some day she will be in a wheelchair. Anesthesia is tricky!!!
Tomorrow I see the physical therapist and the occupational therapist. I hope I feel better than today!

I tell you secrud about a wheelchair. By the time you need one it's liberating. It's just feet instead of wheels. Everybody gets in a big power chair called an auto-mobile and heads off to shop. I can't for the life of me see why people get their drawers in a knot over having to use wheels. Granted it makes reaching stuff a witch, but I've got a grabber for light stuff and there's almost always someone nearby who is happy to get something from a high shelf. The thing that's awful here is the SNOW. Not so bad in Okieland but in the far north the snow can be the pits. Handybus is the only solution.
Hang in there...
Hugs from the frozen north (which isn't frozen now)
I know a wheelchair is liberating when you need one. I think for Linda she sees it marks the progression of her disease. Our vehicle wasn't wheelchair friendly and I hated how Ron had to struggle getting it loaded and unloaded.
Ups and downs, ups and downs and ups.
I am not looking forward to the day when mr. k will need a wheelchair all the time. We rented one recently and I nearly broke my back trying to get it into my van.
Hope you feel better tomorrow.
