3 Cheers for Liz

I want to stand up and cheer for Elizabeth Warren!

Democratic senators including Sen. Elizabeth Warren (Mass.) said Thursday morning that they would introduce a bill next month requiring the president to “disclose and divest” from any conflicts, mimicking a law that already binds most public officials.

Finally the Democrats are taking action.  I've been waiting for them to make a move.

I wonder how different the outcome of the election might have been had Elizabeth Warren ran for president instead of Hillary.  I was always afraid Hillary would have an uphill climb.  Any thoughts?

Bernie was my first choice but Elizabeth Warren was a close second. I voted for Hillary and certainly wish she had won. It's going to be a long 4 years.

I had hoped for an Elizabeth Warren bid, but I am so glad she is in the Congress now! We are going to need her there.

Either Elizabeth or Bernie would have been the stronger candidate. I think Hillary would make a wonderful president, but the Republicans have spent the last 25 years making false allegations to discredit her, knowing she would eventually make a run for the White House. Despite *none* of those allegations ever resulting in charges, they created an impression of dishonesty and untrustworthiness. She went into the campaign pulling a thousand pound sledge of stones behind her, and her campaign managers and the DNC's behaviour didn't help her.

Because of that Bernie would have been a far stronger candidate, and he would have easily won over Trump. Elizabeth Warren would have been almost as strong, but I don't believe she was interested in running, certainly not against Hillary.

I'm afraid the entire world is in for a rough rise as a result of the DNC's insistence on running Hillary, despite her handicap.
