Weekend Updates

Ron has finally agreed to see his doctor.  He was sick all weekend and he felt bad enough to agree he needs to go to the doctor.  He is having pain in his back, his blood pressure is up and his heart is beating way too fast and all this occurs after he eats.  He is supposed to call this morning and set up an appointment.  Since he was feeling so bad we didn't do anything yesterday.  It was so hot here that it was too miserable to be outside anyway so I tried to fix lunch for him (but it made him sick) and it wasn't my cooking either!  Or at least it didn't make me sick.

I finally got the results of my mammogram and everything was change since the last one.  I also had a Dexa scan done Friday on my bones.....checking for osteoperosis but I don't have the results of that one.  Soooooo one more test and then I'm good for another 365 days or 3,000 miles or whatever the case may be.

I've scheduled vacation time for July 16 through July 25th and I have absolutely no idea what I'll do.  I need some vacation ideas.....I'm not a traveler but I need a change of scenery.  Anyone have any favorite vacation spots?

Don't you wish we could just run into an "Oil and GO" for our aging bodies every 3000 miles and be done with it?
Vacation--Yellowstone, Colorado Rockies, Southern Utah's Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park are all places I'd go again.

I hope that Ron gets decent news form his doc, and I'm very glad that you got a good report on your mammogram.

I have lots of good vacation spots; it only takes money and time! LOL

Hawaii, Mexico, Italy, Bermuda

don't forget places close to home. I'm really bad about dreaming of vacations in far away places but don't take advantage of the beauty near me. I'm embarrassed to tell all the places in Georgia I've never visited and I've lived there (I'm in Oregon now) most of my life.
ps. I'll be thinking about Ron.

Glad you got good results. Don't they love to alarm?
Sooo glad Ron is finally going to the doctor. Funny how things don't go away when we ignore them. Sending good thoughts for his check up.
I think each state has some great places to visit. I have Crater of Diamonds state park in my sites--just know I will find a "big one" but also Garvin Gardens is on the list.
I'd check places out that are half a day away.
